Down loading the Bayesian Analysis Software
Down loading Version
of the Software
To down load this software
you must get three things: the executables, the
bayes.uninstall and
the
bayes.install scripts. The reason you must get both the uninstall
and install scripts is that this new software is incomparable
with older versions of the software; consequently the install
script calls the uninstall script to make sure all old versions
of the software are removed.
There are three different sets of executables available:
-
A generic SunOS set of executables.
This file is approximately 30Mb and includes all of the executables,
scripts, macros, menus and libraries necessary to run
this software under VNMR and it also contains the software necessary
for remote processing on SunOS systems.
-
A 32 bit SGI IRIX.6.X set of executables,
where "X" is almost any IRIX.6 releases.
This file is approximately 37Mb and includes all of the executables,
scripts, macros, menus and libraries necessary to run
this software under VNMR and it also contains the software necessary
for remote processing on SGI IRIX.6.X systems.
-
A 32 bin SGI IRIX.6.X set of executables that
are identical to the previous
set of software except the scripts that process remote jobs are
set up to use a batch queuing system. In particular these scripts
make use of the bsub, bjobs and bkill commands. If you wish
to install this software please contact me
before you install this software. We will almost certainly
have to tailor some of the scripts to your instillation.
-
A SGI Altix set of executables for the Linux operating system.
This file is approximately 37Mb and includes all of the executables,
scripts, macros, and menus necessary to run
this software under VNMR and it also contains the software necessary
for remote processing on SGI Altix systems.
Unfortunately, Varian does not currently offer VNMR on this machine,
the macros were included simply for completeness, as they represent
only a very small fraction of the total size of the distribution.
For VNMR installations you must down load both the
bayes.install
and
bayes.uninstall
scripts and remember to do a shift click on the mouse so the
files get saved to disk.
To install remote job processing you will also need the
bayes.remote script
that installs the software on the remote processing machine.
